This Tuesday, there is a matchup between a Western Conference team and an Eastern Conference teams in the NBA as the New Orleans Pelicans and the Milwaukee Bucks will face off at about 9:30 PM. This will be the first meeting between these teams this season and it will take place at the Fiserv Forum.
So far, this season, the New Orleans Pelicans have been a very underwhelming team in the NBA. The Pelicans are currently in the basement of the Western Conference and they look destined to be in the running for the top pick in the upcoming NBA Draft. In addition, New Orleans also enters this game having lost each of their last nine games including a home loss against Detroit in its last game. Now, New Orleans has to travel back on the road where it has a 2-9 record as it will be looking for a rare road win in order to snap this losing streak.
Leading the Pelicans offensively is forward Brandon Ingram who has looked great so far this season. He is leading his team with 24.9 points per game along with 7.0 rebounds. Ingram has also been efficient as he is shooting 49.4% from the floor and 41.8% from the three-point line. He also enters this game following a 31-point performance in his last game.
New Orleans’ most underrated player is shooting guard JJ Redick who has been pretty good so far this season. He is currently averaging 15.0 points per game along with 3.1 rebounds per game. In addition, he is also shooting 43.2% from the three-point line. Now, he will look to continue shooting well from downtown in this road game.
Through 24 games this season, the Milwaukee Bucks have looked like one of the best teams in the entire league. The Bucks have already won 21 games and they have crushed teams on a repeated basis recently. Milwaukee enters this game having won each of its last 15 games with its last win coming against Orlando at home by nine points. The Bucks look like the favorites to represent the Eastern Conference in the NBA Finals this season but that is a long way down the road. For now, the Bucks will simply be looking to extend their winning streak on Wednesday in this home game.
Leading the Bucks offensively is star forward Giannis Antetokounmpo who looked like the best player in the NBA so far, this season. He is averaging a team-high 30.9 points per game along with 13.2 rebounds. In addition, he also enters this game averaging 1.3 steals and 1.3 blocks so he has been an absolute force on both sides of the ball.
Milwaukee’s most underrated player is forward Khris Middleton who has been extremely solid this season. He is averaging 17.5 points per game along with 5.8 rebounds per game. Middleton has had issues staying healthy so far, this season but he has been a vital piece to Milwaukee’s success up to this point whenever he is able to play.
